The Triskele, also known as the Triskelion, is one of the ancient world's most recognizable symbols. Its three spiraling arms create a sense of constant movement, often associated with growth, motion, change, and the continuing cycles of life.
What makes the Triskele particularly fascinating is that there is no single meaning we can definitively assign to its three spirals. Over time, they have been interpreted in many ways: past, present, and future; mind, body, and spirit; parent, parent, and child; earth, sea, and sky; and the interconnected stages and forces that shape our lives.
Perhaps that is part of the symbol's enduring appeal. Rather than having one fixed meaning, the Triskele invites each of us to find our own.
Our interpretation places the three raised spirals at the center of a circular medallion, surrounded by flowing Celtic-inspired knotwork. The continuous border echoes the movement of the Triskele itself, while the antiqued finish settles into the recessed areas, creating beautiful contrast and bringing the intricate lines of the design forward.
Hand cast in lead-free pewter and individually hand finished in our shop, the pendant measures approximately 1-3/8" x 1-1/2" and comes on an 18" stainless steel chain.
