Hand cast in lead free pewter this pipe tamper is design after 1600s Scottish Pistols. The Scottish pistol’s originated in the village of Doune in Stirlingshire a small village known for trading. It is told that a blacksmith in the village designed a way to improve flintlocks from the time. His creation became the elegant looking and sought after Scottish flintlock pistol.
