The Adam & Eve pipe tamper is a reproduction from Benjamin Franklin’s collection. A tamper is a blunt instrument with a base shaped like the top of a nail. While some are basic and utilitarian in nature - others are ornately shaped. The flat end of the tamper is used for tamping down tobacco when the bowl is being packed and for crushing the ash together to aid relighting. Tampers make a unique gift for recreational smokers.
